“No day is so bad it can't be fixed with a nap.” Carrie P. Snow

It's 3:30 and almost the end of the best part of the day--naptime. I can't believe I've been lucky enough to get my two kids to nap at the same time for almost a year now. I feel somewhat guilty that this is my favorite part of the day, but with a toddler and a baby the quiet time is like a warm comforting blanket falling over me after I've come in from the cold. I think so many moms use this time to catch up on chores but I fall firmly on the side of not doing anything except relaxing. A good friend gave me this advice before I had Molly; it's really the best thing anyone told me to do. No laundry, no dishes, no phone calls. So I read, or nap, or surf the web (is it still called that?? Sometimes I worry I'm hopelessly old and uncool, but I digress). I can see the first hints that these days might be over soon--more fight from Molly to nap at all, Amos falling asleep for 10 minutes in the car, thus messing up his schedule--and so I have begun mentally preparing for the day that, sadly, naptime is no more.
