10 things

Next month Bryan and I will have been married 10 years, yes that's right, an entire decade. So during this time I've learned a lot of things and I thought I would share some I've learned from Bryan...

1) Cars must always be washed by hand. This is the only acceptable method for cleaning a car. The car wash is lurking with hidden dangers, just waiting to scratch your paint or tear off your antenna. If "someone" attempts to take the car through the car wash Bryan will always detect this, using his super human eyes to find the one tiny spot the teenage boys with the brushes missed.

2) If something is on sale 10 for $10, then it's always a good idea to buy 30.

3) You can never have enough cereal
a. You must always buy name brand cereal
b. Cereal is a perfectly acceptable (preferable?) dinner food

4) A bath towel can be used for at least 3 weeks before replacement is required. Actually, I wouldn't know the exact time for this one because I assume he would never replace it if I didn't do it.

5) It is possible to spend hours in the garage "arranging" things.

6) Basketball games can be watched more than once. Especially if it is a Blazer's game. Especially if it is any type of playoff game, even one from 15 years ago in which you already know the outcome.

7) An original Atari game system can never be thrown away.

8) Boys cut their hair a lot. Like at least once a month. Fortunately for me, Bryan cuts his own hair.

9) If it doesn't work/fit there's is always a way to modify it to make it work. Provided you have the right tools, of course.

10) The love a man has for his car is only slightly less than that for his wife and kids.

Congratulations on your decade of marriage. You've made it further then most do, these days. Actually, since this post is a year old, I guess it's been 11 years now. Sorry, I'm catching up. Lol! That's 1/3 of your life. You are so lucky to have a man that seems to love you so much. He sounds like a great man I envy you.
1) I agree with Bryan about always hand washing cars. The brushes in the automatic car washes do scratch the paint. I can almost always tell the difference between a car that has been properly cared for, & 1 that's seen a lot of automatic car washes. Some of the new automatic washes now are brushless. They rely on powerful chemicals & water pressure to penetrate & remove the dirt & grime. I have tried some of these car washes. Some of them work better then others, depending on how they have the automatic sprayers set up, & how powerful they spray. But even the best 1s aren't as good as a good hand wash, & although the potential for damage is greatly reduced, there is always @ least a small potential for damage from too much water pressure, the the chemicals being too harsh on the paint. I also question their environmental impact because of the strong chemicals they use. Speaking of harsh chemicals, when hand washing, always use soap specifically made for washing cars. Do not use dish soap. Dish soap will damage the shine.
7) I agree. It's funny reading this. I was just heard a couple of pre-teen boys @ the Y.M.C.A, talking about an old Atari game system 1 of them acquired the other day. I actually asked them where they found that, telling them that it was way older then them, & that I had 1 when I was even younger then them. It was cool to see the younger generation embracing it with so much enthusiasm, even amongst the modern systems of today. But my favorite system will always be the Inellivision. It was a rival to Atari, & in my opinion, a little more sophisticated. I was never as popular as the Atari, but I spent hours as a kid playing it. Dungeons & Dragons was my favorite game. My Uncle Brian, who was my youngest uncle, & still a teen-ager @ the time, played the real Dungeons & Dragons with his friends, & I did have a mild fascination with that, but never really got into it, preferring my Intellevision version better. I still would love to play that game again, if I ever run across the system & the game, that worked.
8) Not all boys get their hair cut every month. I wear my hair long, & it only gets cut about every 6 months.
