That's what I say when people ask me how I'm doing. Isn't that what everyone says? Just for fun, here's how I'm really doing. Yesterday Molly and Amos thought it would be fun to wake up at 5:50am. Then Amos thought, hey, waking up early just didn't do it for me, how about I add in three straight hours of whiny crying? Great idea, that. I will give him credit--he stopped crying for the 45 minutes we were at the swimming pool but promptly screamed the minute I put him back in the car, even though we were going to get a cinnamon roll at Great Harvest. Who cries about that? Then he was all like, you know that free piece of bread they give me at Great Harvest? The really good cinnamon burst bread that is still warm? I'm just gonna throw that right on the floor and scream! How do you like that? Thanks but no thanks, I say. Then when the nice lady brings me another piece I'll throw that one too! But you love me, right? Right? Even though there are 20 people watching you lose it in the middle of Great Harvest Bread Co.? Right.
Add to that the fact that Molly had just clocked me with her huge head in the car because apparently I wasn't unbuckling her seatbelt fast enough for her. I still have a bump on my head 24 hours later. But I'm good!
Oh, and here's how my night went last night:
10:00pm I lay down to go to sleep.
11:15 Molly screaming.
11:45 Molly screaming.
12:15 Molly screaming. Again. Bryan makes her a bed in the office so she won't wake up Amos.
2:15 Molly wakes up, turns on the light, walks up to our bed and is all, "Hi!"
2:16 Molly goes back to sleep in her regular bed.
2:17 Awake now. Wide awake. Read for one hour.
3:30 Try to sleep again.
4:30 Actually fall asleep, I think.
6:00 Amos crying.
7:00 Kids awake.
7:01 Amos crying.
But really, I'm good!

LOL. I am so sorry! I truly feel your pain. And yes that is what everyone says. "I'm good". I hope, some day we as moms get to have our sleep back and will get rewarded for all we have to go through. I truly miss my sleep and doing things that I would like to do for more than 10 min. at a time.
WE miss going on walks with you guys take care over there in "Happy Valley".;)
Amber, this post is absolutely hilarious. I mean, I don't mean to make fun of your bad day here, but you have to admit, looking back, it's kind of funny.
Btw, I'm Matthew, from 2nd grade, Mr. Reed @ Clinton Kelly Elementary School, & then our freshman year @ Clackamas High, but weren't really very close there. I found you on Facebook & sent you a friend request, but it's still pending. I figure you don't log in there much. But I found the link to your blog on your profile, so I've been reading it. It is nice to see you. You have a beautiful family, & your kids are just adorable. Would be nice to here from you. Hit me up on Facebook or email me @ starshipxplorer@gmail.com. Oh, & don't worry. I see that you are happily married. That's cool. Just friends. Peace.
