Wholesome Recreational Activities, Part II

Just a boy and his cars

Clearly, boys and cars are connected through some as yet secret gene in the DNA. I would have been the first to debate this fact before I had my own kids, one of each, and watched Amos while away the time spinning the wheels on cars and trucks while Molly has only ever taken a perfunctory interest. I love that he lines them all up. Not sure what the next step is after that, I don't he has gotten there yet either.

Boy gets haircut from Dad

I like it long, preferably to the point that the boy gets mistaken for an elf. I say, he has a whole lifetime of haircuts ahead of him, why not leave it alone for now? Bryan won this round. I need a good place to hide the scissors.

Dress Up Time

A friend brought over a huge bin of dress-up clothes and the kids played happily for at least an hour. That's Molly as a fireman, Amos as a pink-skirted hula dancer. I don't make these suggestions, people. They come up with this all on their own, and I love it.

Banana Bread w/ Chocolate Chip Goodness

A treat for book club. I usually put in almost the whole bag of chocolate chips, and let me tell you, it's a hit every time. I love that Molly is big enough to help with cooking. On this day she required her bandana and only an apron in place of clothes in order to assist me.

First, I love how Amos curls his toes while playing...

Second, I love elf hair...

I didn't notice the toes until you mentioned it. It is cute! But pretty much anything he does is cute, so.

Thanks for supporting elf hair. Let Bryan know you are on my side.
