I did it.

So on Sunday I graduated from Lewis & Clark with my Master's in Counseling Psychology. Lest you think I am getting a big head here is an exchange between Molly and I a couple days before the ceremony:

Me: Hey Molly, on Sunday we're going to Mommy's graduation.

Molly: Why?

Me: Well, because I'm done with school now. You'll see me walk across a stage.

Molly: Mommy a Wiggle???!!!

Me: Um, no I'm not a Wiggle, I won't be singing or dancing, just walking across the stage and getting.....(trying to figure out how to explain a diploma to a 2 year old)....a piece of paper.

Molly: Oh. (walks away)

Not that you can tell from this picture, but she was actually really excited on the big day, even though she told me very seriously that morning that "Sam not coming." He's a Wiggle, of course. Actually, maybe that's what she's thinking about in this picture.

At any rate, it was a great day. I really am still in shock that it's all over since I've been thinking about this day pretty much from the new student orientation I attended almost 4 years ago.Amos slept through almost the entire ceremony and I think he's still asleep here. I have to say my kids were so well behaved through the entire two hour deal, it was amazing. At the end I heard a baby start crying, then screaming, and all I could think was, "Man, I'm glad that's not mine."

Congratulations, Amber. Such a big accomplishment is definitely worth tooting your horn.
