A lot of people ask me how I do it--go to grad school and have two kids. My answer varies, but if I'm honest it all comes down to one thing. Bryan. I can do it because of him. Because of his support of me, his belief in me, his total faith in my ability to do many things I'm not quite totally sure I can do. It's because of his amazing ability as a father--his total involvement in all the day-to-day tasks, not just the fun ones that lots of dads are into. It's the fact that he can come home from work on the nights I have class and I can leave within 5 minutes and he knows exactly what the kids need from him and when I come home he tells me all the fun things they did while I was gone. It's because he calls me during the day for no reason or just to see how I'm doing. It's the fact that he tells me I need to take more breaks and I never have to ask him to do anything around the house, including housework, because he just does it and he never complains about it. It's because on the nights I come home from work or class he is always waiting for me to ask how my day was and split a treat while watching Lost. It's because after 10 years I still find new things to love about him and am constantly surprised by how life with him just keeps getting better.
So, right now, when the attention is on me for graduating I have to say Thanks to Bryan because without him I just couldn't have done it. I love you Bryan. You're the best.
